Beauty Questions Answered

I asked the question.."If you could ask a Pro Makeup Artist anything, what would it be?" Well here are your questions...Answered!

*What is the best way to cover up/hide a. a REALLY giant pimple that just popped up, and b. a cut/scratch, and c. bruise
When dealing with blemishes that popped up one morning and you want to conceal its important to remember to NOT pop it! This will only make the matter worse! I sometimes will put a cold compress on it to reduce any swelling, apply a medicated spot treatment to treat any bacteria,  moisturize with an oil free lotion & use a long wear cover up stick that has a heavier coverage than your daily concealer you may use under the eye. I find this concealer will help with a cut or scratch as well, followed with powder to set.
TRY  L'Oreal Paris Infallible Concealer. It gives you 16 hr wear & allows for great coverage.
Bruises need a little extra care for covering up. Depending on the color of the Bruise you want to start with a color corrector in Green and/or yellow to neutralize the Bruise color and than layer with your concealer or foundation. Its all about layering when it comes to bruises!
I love using Derma Blend Face and Body Cream. It will help cover scars, cuts & Bruises.
*What is best way to cover up dark circles under eyes?
Everyone has dark circles and they come from many factors. Stress, dehydration, allergies..the list goes on. But you first want to make sure you are using a Eye Cream both Day/Night. This will help to promote good tissue, elasticity, circulation and hydration around the eye area.
Try L'Oreal Paris Collagen Filler Eye Illuminator. It has micro light reflective pearls to help Brighten up the eye and penetrate down into the skin helping to plump from within.
To cover up those Dark Circles use a concealer after you hydrate. The trick is to mix in a little bit of the Collagen Filler eye illuminator into your concealer to help brighten up those beautiful eyes! You can also take a pearly eyeshadow and place in the inner corner of the eye and right below the arch of your brow. This will help to open the eye shape and deter away from any darkness.
TRY L'Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Eyeshadow Single in Morning Light, Shroom Shimmer or Satin Tutu
*Best way to get ALL the mascara and eyeliner off, there seems to always be some left over!
Use a Oil Based makeup remover on a cotton round and gently remove any makeup. The oil will help to soften the product to its easier to remove.
TRY L'Oreal Paris Clean Artist Makeup Remover
*What's the best liquid liner?
You want to use a liquid liner that gives you control and precision.
I love STILA Stay All Day Liquid Liner. Not only is it waterproof so it will not budge, but Its felt tip marker style helps to give you lots of control during your application.
*What do I do about adult acne? Never had it as a teen and now I'm almost 30 and I have acne!
Adult Acne is more common than you think. As our hormones change..our sebum and androgen  levels change as well. You have to remember your skin is a reflection of what is going on inside your body. First look at what you are intaking on a daily basis. Second look at your water levels you consume everyday. Third, what type of daily skincare regimen do you have? Make sure to incorporate a Mask and/or Enzyme peel( not to be used on the same day, rotate every other week) once a month. Use a deep cleansing Scrub 1-2 times a week to clean out your pores. Stay consistent with the products you are using. If you keep changing them or are not consistent your skin will not achieve balance.
One of my favorite weekly scrubs is L'Oreal Paris Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Cleanser

For a Mask and or Peel TRY Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel
 OR Skinceuticals Clarifying Clay Mask

Flawless & Clean Makeup For Summer

SUMMER is here!

With the hot heat there is nothing worse than feeling you have a pound of makeup on...One of the top questions asked by my clients is how can they can still have flawless makeup during the heat without feeling or looking like they have anything on...
Here are some helpful steps in achieving a Flawless & Clean look for Summer

Choose a Light Weight Moisturizer
A Heavy Cream is going to add to your sebum level during the hot & humid months. Opt for a light weight moisturizer or serum that still is able to lock in your skin's hydration without charging up your sebum level. For Oily skin choose a Oil free Moisturizer.
Try L'Oreal Paris Youth Code Day Lotion w/SPF &/or Youth Code Serum

Apply a Oil Free Foundation
You want something lightweight, oil free & wont clog your pores. With the heat comes sweat & you want your pores to be able to breathe!
I love L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation..It's light weight Oil Free formula adds great coverage & blendable. Still giving you the feel as if there is nothing on your skin.

To finish your foundation Apply the True Match Naturale Finish in Translucent to control any oil and give the skin a Natural, flawless finish
For the Cheeks Try True Match Naturale Glow in Nude Glow or Honey Glow

Lightly Enhance your Beautiful Features
Summer skin is all about a beautiful glow & lightly enhancing your features. Make sure to have something on the eyes, Cheeks and lips to balance out your look.
For the eyes A light shimmer & Mascara will help to brighten. Don't be afraid of some color on the eyes, but opt for light and/or bright shades.
Here are some of my favorite L'Oreal Paris Eyeshadows  for Summer!
