ONLY IN MY DREAMS.....?
For those who grew up in the 80's it was all about side pony tails, neon headbands, scrunchy socks, mis-matched outfits and Debbie Gibson!
Before Beyonce...there was Tiffany & Debbie..I used to parade in my stripped shirt, with a hair brush in hand( used as a microphone of course) and dance my way to my walkman...what was playing? Debbie Gibson naturally...
Now theres the obvious reason why Tiffany & I were both "connected", who can resist a ginger bond between two capitol T's...but Debbie was special...She made me secretly want to be blonde, play the keyboard and shake my love across the west coast...Only in my dreams would I pretend to be on stage with both pop royalty as we sing to sold out concerts and in the end I would take center stage for a standing ovation...Ok, now were getting too dramatic..But in all reality these two 80's icons contributed to the animated and sometimes performance hungry( no not me!), energetic woman that I am today....
And Only in my Dreams would I dare to ever meet one of them.....Until, last night! I have to say a surreal moment it was, here was my Pop Icon I would listen to all hours of the day, watch her videos over and over again...What do I do? Do I bust "Out of the Blue" or put on my black hat and have a dance off with DB? Apparently, I forgot the 80's were over, so I would sit and wait until she noticed my.....eyeshadow..thats right, her and I had the same eyeshadow on...Its like we were secretly connected through a cosmetic universe! Debbie commented " I've been noticing your makeup, love your eyeshadow, we have the same one on..." Thats all I needed, my night complete...And when it was time to get a picture with her...she goes, "of course the girl with the green eyeshadow".....!
And there you have it, I could hear the little 80's girl inside of me screaming..she was so happy....
& the star of the night....MAC eyeshadow in "HUMID"

Last night I was touching up and making over some Latin beauties in the L'Oreal Paris Ladies Lounge for the International Latino Film Festival. The film feature was "The Dryland" starring Ryan O'Nan, Jason Ritter, Wilmer Valderrama and the curvy America Ferrera. Not only did America star in the film, but was the Executive Producer. She has come along way! A movie of Americas I suggest seeing..It will liberate you on embracing and loving your body..."Real Woman Have Curves" starring America Ferrera and George Lopez....
